"bumble butt"
I cut out all of this from a single sheet of green and blue marbled momi paper. I wanted to challenge myself to see what I could create from that single sheet, and managed to capture a photo of a bee on a morning glory for my subject. I also wanted to create the effect of three different levels of detail. In the background, I used a fun new hole puncher to create a more blurry, muted backdrop to make the morning glory and bee pop, each level up a different amount of detail. Under my boy's USB microscope, I was able to even cut the individual hairs on the bee's leg and make little bee claws! I had so much fun on this one, chopping up the paper into all the different colors and trying to make sure I wasn't going to run out of any of the colors I needed as I went.
