"end of the journey"

 

In designing this, I wanted to create a piece showing an old man on a mountain. While working it through, however, it morphed into an older man bracing himself against the amorphous blueness of spacetime as he walks steadily towards the door to eternity.  The silhouette on this one was first designed on the computer and then cut with a laser instead of by hand to see if that might be useful to my process. Turns out the laser ain't great at sharp edges. Too soft.
