I've noticed that some papers are darker or lighter depending not just on their color, but also their material, so three shades of the same color might be light to dark from one angle, but dark to light from another angle. This piece explores that with commercial scrapbook papers, and gave me a chance to play with the sense of dimension. A 2D card of a 3D sculpture designed to look like a 2D painting? what?
