I was sitting in the bright sun one day, thinking about shame, and how sorely we need to normalize the discussion of feelings in this culture, especially difficult feelings, when this image came to mind.  I really like working with the dark black papers from Legion Paper, and wanted to see if I could create the impression of a really dark room lit from a doorway.  And a black border, to wit!
